Anton "Tony" Winkhardt Jr

Anton "Tony" Winkhardt Jr. was born on November 23, 1940 in Hungary, and passed away on September 3, 2024 in Chicago, Illinois at the age of 83.

Tony was known for his infectious smile and vibrant personality. He was deeply passionate about soccer, gardening and singing, activities that brought joy not only to him but also to those around him.

Throughout his life, Tony was an active member of various German clubs: The Niedersachsen Club Chicago, Rheinischer Verein and Schwaben Verein.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Karin of 61 years; children, John (Kristin) and Monica; grandchildren, John Jr., Greg, Jayna, Hannah and great-grandchild, Declan. He was preceded in death by his father, Anton Sr., mother, Julia and brother, Werner.

Tony will be remembered for his warm spirit and the happiness he spread to those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and the many friends who had the pleasure of knowing him.
